The ALS Association
The ALS Association is the only national not-for-profit health organization dedicated solely to the fight against ALS. The site provides in-depth information on the disease in addition to manuals, fact sheets, videos, and specially targeted information for families and caregivers. On the site, you can learn how to get involved in special events and public policy initiatives. You can get information on products to aid in daily living, such as communication devices, personal care aids, ramps, and mobility aids. There is even an opportunity to sign-up for the association's e-mail magazine, A Reason for Hope.

Hospice Foundation of America (HFA)
The HFA's site can help you or your family locate a hospice, ask an expert a question, or learn about hospice, end-of-life, grief and loss. You can also subscribe for an e-newsletter or participate in a video teleconference to listen to featured speakers. There is a special section for caregivers with links, reading, and tools they can use to help them through the caregiving experience.

The ALS Division of the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA)
On this site's homepage, you'll find the latest ALS news, publications that you can order to learn more about the disease, FAQs, videos, and other resources for more information on ALS. There’s a chat room so that you can talk to others experiencing the same feelings you are. You can even make a donation to the MDA so that they can help to further ALS research and work towards finding a cure for the disease.

ALS Network
This personal Web site offers tips from those who have experienced ALS firsthand. There are ideas to help you with dressing, communicating, preparing for emergencies, and more.
